“Women in Leadership” is the theme for International Women’s Day this year, so what better way to celebrate than to have the DaisyPCOS Leaders taking centre stage. DAISy-PCOS is an acronym for Dissecting Androgen excess and metabolic dysfunction - an Integrated Systems approach for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. DAISy is a new research study examining the metabolic nature of PCOS and it's links to other health conditions.
The International Women's Day event, lead by the Institute of Metabolism & Systems Research (IMSR) & University of Birmingham’s Women’s Network, includes a community led panel discussion where women from the diverse DAISy-PCOS Leadership Programme will share their lived experiences and explore how gender and cultural factors influence medical gaslighting, healthcare access & management and research.
This is a free event and is open for all to attend online via zoom on Saturday 06 March 2021 from 11am to 1230 pm. You can participate too by joining in the Q&A.
