We’ve all been there, your gynaecologist asks what the date of your last period was? Your mind goes blank, you can’t remember if you jotted it down in your diary. It could have been 6 weeks ago or who knows? A good app on your phone can be a handy tool for keeping track of your period. Some also have additional options to help you track your fitness and sleep. Choose one that suits your personal requirements. Here are a couple we use.
1. Period Tracker Period Calendar
Free for iOS devices (in app purchases)
This app tracks and predicts your period, ovulation and fertile window and you can also record intimacy and basal body temperature. This is a good general little tracker.
2. Life – Period Tracker Calendar
Free for iOS devices (some facilities are only available if you have the premium version)
This is a fab little app which not only tracks your period, symptoms, moods but the premium version lets you use other health trackers such as sex, fertility, weight, nutrition, fitness and sleep. So, it depends how much you want to use and pay – but you can tailor it to your individual requirements.
Don't forget to let us know if you find any better ones @pcosvitality.
Happy Tracking!
PS we have had some feedback on this article and yes we are aware that we have irregular/absent cycles and that prediction facilities won't work for #pcos - we know that because we have #pcos !
